10/14/11- Effective Argument

Martin Luther King is addressing everyone, in regards to racial conflicts, that still plague communities around the world. The tone of his letter is very informative, wise and calm. To some extent I think that the whole letter is effective, especially the way in which he combines the perfect amount of ethos, pathos and logos. Although there is a few places where maybe politically correct, question his intentions, whether ethical, political, social or personal. Logical fallacies are used throughout this letter such as the logos on pg 155 in the first paragraph and in the second paragraph on pg 163. Ethos are used on pg 155 2nd and third paragraphs and again on pg168 first full paragraph. Pathos are used on pg156 in the third paragraph and again on pg 165 the first paragraph. The counter argument is on pg 159 in the second paragraph. He uses all of the logical fallacies by intertwining them to make the letter informal yet personal. I can utilize this in my paper by being careful, with where I put them which will incline a better letter or argument.
